A passion for architecture is what has driven Etienne’s career in real estate. At the age of 20, Etienne began designing modern houses that he goes on to sell from his two companies: EGS Architectural Design in Canada, and Proyecto Latitud 9 in Costa Rica, both of which specialize in luxury residential design. His focus is primarily on sustainable development and energy self-sufficiency in each of his projects in Costa Rica, all of which are powered by solar energy with a backup a micro-hydroelectric system booster for less sunny times. Solar energy is even used during construction.
All of Etienne’s projects are turnkey purchases available through Osa Tropical Properties, where he began working in October, helping clients in French, English and Spanish to find their ideal sustainable home.
A sound engineer in his other life, Etienne has a diverse background, having worked in television with the CBC for about twenty years. He uses his degree in Acoustic Design in his architectural process to optimize sound isolation and acoustic privacy between neighbouring homes and within the individual homes as well to create an intimate home environment.
