House Hunters International filmed an episode, "A Couple Retires to Costa Rica", with Osa Tropical Properties featured as the selling agent.
The buyers featured in the espisode, Sharon and Vee, fell in love with Costa Rica after taking a vacation to Ojochal. After years of traveling they realized they had found their favorite spot and they wanted a retirement home in the village. Their property selection process needed to take into consideration that Vee wanted to enjoy the solitude of living in Costa Rica's lush jungles while Sharon had a priority of being close to town in order to continue to pursue her passion for theater and teaching children. They realized that the would have to find a middle ground when selecting their dream home in OJochal.

Filming of the Ojochal episode was completed on May 26th, 2013.  The episode, featuring Osa Tropical Properties as the selling agency, aired December 2nd, 2013

House Hunters International follows buyers searching for a home in destinations around the world with the assistance of a realtor.
The show takes the buyers through the whole process. First they interview the buyers in their current home to talk about their motivation for moving and the type of property they hope to find. Then the buyers travel to their chosen destination, meet their realtor and discuss the buyer’s criteria.  
The realtor selects several houses that meet the buyers criteria for showing.  The House Hunters International episode features the process of the buyers looking at each of the selected properties, weighing the merits of each property, and concludes with them making the decision of which property to buy.
House Hunters International airs new episodes every week night through HGTV.  HGTV is distributed to 98.9 million households and their ratings have consistently been 1.5 to 2 million viewers daily in the United States alone.  Internationally the networks branded programming has also been licensed for airing in 69 countries and territories.

Ohochal is considered to be "the" up and coming area in Costa Rica's Southern Zone.
