B&B with an Ocean View and Adjacent to a Biological Reserve
The Garden of Eden Nature Estate, completed in 2001, is a perfect bed and breakfast location. It has three separate buildings each designed to maximize the enjoyment of nature. Uvita is a short ten minute drive away.
This property is located adjacent to the Oro Verde Biological Reserve, a 7.5 acre private reserve. The views from the bed and breakfast range from a lush green forested valley to a partial ocean view. Enjoy the beauty of the Pacific Ocean along with the beautiful mountains and cloud forests during the green season. The bed and breakfast is located approximately 950 feet above seal level where there is almost always a refreshing ocean or mountain breeze.
There are three main structures totaling over 3,000 square feet, all made of solid steel reinforced concrete construction. Additionally the main building has a 12 foot by 35 foot covered second story observation deck. Details like beautiful masicarán wood panel ceilings enhance the beauty of the buildings. The water supply is fresh spring water that flows downhill by gravity into a holding tank.
The one story main house is 2,160 square feet. It has two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a great room and kitchen, a safe room that also serves as a storage area and closet, a laundry room and a storage room. There is a dormer roof providing good air flow through the building. There are ceiling fans in all rooms. The outdoor living space includes a 12 foot by 36 foot patio and second story covered observation deck.
The bed and breakfast’s guest house, located eighty meters below the main house has one bedroom and can sleep up to four people and a full bathroom. There is a partially covered swimming pool and outdoor bar.
There is a bunkhouse that can sleep six people located over the two car garage thirty meters from the main house.
Three streams run through the property. A wide variety of Costa Rican birds and animals are frequent visitors to the property.
To date the Oro Verde Nature Estate has been a private property; however, it is perfectly suited for a bed and breakfast catering to nature lovers. Professionally guided birding groups have commented that the observation deck on the main houses is one of the richest bird observation points in Costa Rica. The richest observation spots in all of Costa Rica.
